Help shape the future of our network. Turn data into decisions. Drive smarter growth.
Steer Automotive Group is looking for a talented Network Optimisation Analyst to join us in an exciting new role, helping shape the future of our growing business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded, data-driven analyst to make a real impact, using insight to optimise our UK network, improve operational performance and support strategic decisions around growth, acquisitions and customer partnerships.
Working closely with senior leaders and teams across Operations, Finance, Property and Client Partnerships, you’ll turn complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that help ensure the right repair goes to the right site, every time.
What you’ll be doing
- Optimise our network: Analyse site capacity, capabilities, manufacturer approvals and geographical coverage to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Turn data into insight: Build and maintain a trusted view of our network, customer volumes and site performance.
- Support strategic decisions: Develop evidence-based recommendations for acquisitions, site consolidation, expansion and major contract renewals.
- Improve work placement: Identify the best locations to handle customer volumes, balancing demand, capacity and repair capabilities.
- Own data quality: Manage our Group site directory and ensure data is accurate, consistent and reliable.
- Influence senior stakeholders: Present clear analysis, business cases and recommendations that drive measurable commercial and operational benefits.
What we’re looking for
You’ll be a proactive, analytical thinker who enjoys solving complex problems, challenging the status quo and turning data into meaningful business outcomes.
You’ll bring:
- Strong analytical and modelling skills, particularly in Excel, SQL/DAX and Power BI.
- Experience working with multiple datasets, improving data quality and building repeatable reporting processes.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of capacity, utilisation, volumes and site profitability.
- The ability to translate complex analysis into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- A structured, self-sufficient approach, with the confidence to take ownership and drive projects forward.
- Experience in network planning, estate optimisation, location strategy or capacity planning.
- Experience in insurance, claims, fleet or accident repair would be advantageous. Knowledge of geospatial analysis, GIS, Python, R or automation tools would also be beneficial.
Why join Steer Automotive Group?
This is more than an analytical role. As a new position within our business, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the remit, establish the foundations for a smarter, more efficient network and see the direct impact of your work.
You’ll work alongside collaborative teams, influence important business decisions and play a key role in supporting Steer’s continued growth and Fit to Grow strategy.
Ready to make your mark?
If you’re passionate about data, commercial insight and making a tangible difference, we’d love to hear from you.
Apply today and help shape the future of Steer Automotive Group.
