We are currently seeking an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join our team and help ensure every vehicle is accurately assessed and efficiently processed for repair. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead, support and manage a team of Vehicle Damage Assessors, ensuring high standards of performance and customer service.
  • Oversee the assessment of vehicle damage and ensure accurate, cost-effective repair estimates are produced.
  • Review and quality-check estimates to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance with manufacturer and industry standards.
  • Monitor team performance, workload and productivity, ensuring assessments are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to Assessors on complex or challenging damage assessments and repair methods.
  • Liaise with customers, insurers, repairers and other stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure a smooth repair process.
  • Monitor repair progress and ensure any additional damage or changes are assessed and authorised appropriately.
  • Coach, mentor and develop team members, identifying training needs and supporting continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all assessments, estimates and documentation are completed accurately and in line with company procedures and relevant legislation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and quality across the damage assessment function.
  • Promote a positive team culture, maintaining high standards of professionalism, communication and health and safety.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a VDA/Estimator role within the accident repair industry
  • ATA VDA accreditation (or working towards it)
  • Proficiency with Audatex and other estimating platforms
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A detail-oriented individual who values accuracy, efficiency, and professional integrity
