About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Paint Technician to join our team at Komoo, based at Birmingham Airport. You’ll be working on a variety of vehicles, including electric and hybrid models, ensuring top-quality repairs and finishes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Surface preparation – cleaning, sanding, and masking as required.
- Paint mixing and application – ensuring a perfect color match using spray guns and other equipment.
- Spray booth operation – running and maintaining the booth to ensure high-quality results.
- Panel and MET work – experience in these areas is beneficial.
- Quality control – ensuring all work meets customer and industry standards.
- Team collaboration – working closely with colleagues to meet deadlines.
- Health & safety – maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
About You
We are looking for candidates with the following:
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Paint Technician, Prep Technician, or similar role.
- Panel and MET experience is helpful but not essential.
- Experience working with electric and hybrid vehicles is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and spray equipment.
- An eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- ATA/NVQ qualifications are preferred but not essential – we can support with renewal if required.
