About the Role

At Steer Automotive Group, every role plays a part in delivering exceptional service and maintaining the highest standards of quality. We are looking for a detail-focused and methodical Compound Inspector to join our busy site, responsible for inspecting vehicles on arrival and accurately recording any damage.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Inspecting vehicles on arrival to site and identifying all visible damage
  • Clearly marking and highlighting damage directly on vehicles
  • Accurately documenting vehicle condition using digital or written systems
  • Taking photographs of vehicle condition and damage where required
  • Ensuring all incoming vehicles are correctly logged and recorded
  • Liaising with estimators regarding vehicle condition to support repair assessments
  • Supporting an efficient and organised vehicle intake process
  • Maintaining high levels of accuracy and consistency in all inspections
  • Handling vehicles with care at all times during inspection
  • Following all site procedures, health & safety, and quality standards
