About the Role
At Steer Automotive Group, every role plays a part in delivering exceptional service and maintaining the highest standards of quality. We are looking for a detail-focused and methodical Compound Inspector to join our busy site, responsible for inspecting vehicles on arrival and accurately recording any damage.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Inspecting vehicles on arrival to site and identifying all visible damage
- Clearly marking and highlighting damage directly on vehicles
- Accurately documenting vehicle condition using digital or written systems
- Taking photographs of vehicle condition and damage where required
- Ensuring all incoming vehicles are correctly logged and recorded
- Liaising with estimators regarding vehicle condition to support repair assessments
- Supporting an efficient and organised vehicle intake process
- Maintaining high levels of accuracy and consistency in all inspections
- Handling vehicles with care at all times during inspection
- Following all site procedures, health & safety, and quality standards
