As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a reliable and safety-focused Driver to join our team.
As a Driver, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of our repair centre, ensuring vehicles are collected and delivered safely, professionally, and on time. You'll work with a range of commercial vehicles, represent the business when dealing with customers, and travel between customer, site, and vehicle collection locations. This may occasionally involve using public transport, particularly within Central London and surrounding areas, with authorised travel costs paid for by the company.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Collecting and delivering customer vehicles safely, professionally, and on time.
- Carrying out basic vehicle condition and safety checks before and after vehicle movements.
- Providing excellent customer service and representing Steer Commercial in a professional manner.
- Assisting with vehicle movements on site to support workshop efficiency and operational requirements.
- Maintaining accurate records of vehicle collections, deliveries, and movements.
- Supporting the team with the movement of a range of commercial vehicles, including vans and HGVs.
What We’re Looking For:
- A full UK driving licence with a good driving record.
- Age 21 or over due to insurance requirements.
- Confidence driving a range of vehicles; experience with commercial vehicles would be advantageous.
- Previous driving, logistics, or customer service experience is desirable.
- A professional and courteous manner with strong communication skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
- A commitment to safety and representing the business to the highest standard.
