Job Description

Steer Automotive Group is recruiting apprentices for the role of Vehicle Damage Assessor at our Wigan centre. This apprenticeship offers a pathway to a lifelong career in the accident repair industry, starting with a Level 3 qualification and practical experience in our accident repair centres.

To qualify:

  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Willing to work Monday to Friday, 8am – 4.30pm
  • Commit to a 3-year apprenticeship
  • Grade 4 or above in Maths and English or Functional Skills Level 2

You will:

  • Work under supervision to develop full competence and qualification
  • Assess motor vehicle body repairs accurately
  • Diagnose additional faults and ensure safety standards
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Use estimating software and industry guides
