Job Description
Steer Automotive Group is recruiting apprentices for the role of Vehicle Damage Assessor at our Wigan centre. This apprenticeship offers a pathway to a lifelong career in the accident repair industry, starting with a Level 3 qualification and practical experience in our accident repair centres.
To qualify:
- Be at least 16 years old
- Willing to work Monday to Friday, 8am – 4.30pm
- Commit to a 3-year apprenticeship
- Grade 4 or above in Maths and English or Functional Skills Level 2
You will:
- Work under supervision to develop full competence and qualification
- Assess motor vehicle body repairs accurately
- Diagnose additional faults and ensure safety standards
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Use estimating software and industry guides
