Your focus will be on ensuring that vehicle repairs and maintenance are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard. You will lead a team of skilled technicians, coordinate workflow, and serve as the key link between the workshop and front-of-house staff. In addition, you will support the VDA team in damage assessments and job planning. Key Responsibilities * Oversee the daily running of the workshop, ensuring efficient job flow and timely delivery of work. * Allocate jobs to technicians based on skills and workload to maximise productivity. * Conduct quality control checks to ensure all work meets company, manufacturer, and industry standards. * Liaise with service advisors to provide timely and accurate updates to customers. * Ensure health and safety regulations and best practices are followed at all times. * Manage parts and inventory in collaboration with the Parts team to support continuous workflow. * Mentor and train staff, supporting professional development and maintaining a positive team environment. About You You will have a strong background in the automotive repair industry, ideally as an MET, Panel or Paint Technician, or VDA, with supervisory experience. You will also have: * A thorough technical understanding of vehicle systems and repair methods. * Strong leadership and organisational skills. * The ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Knowledge of health and safety procedures and risk assessments. * Confidence in using workshop management systems and other software tools. * Experience with vehicle damage estimating and ideally Audatex. * A valid UK driving licence.
