We have an exciting opportunity for a Prosthetic Technician to join our existing team in Billericay in the southeast of England. The role offers the opportunity to work within a dedicated multidisciplinary team supporting Prosthetists in delivering high-quality prosthetic care to patients.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake the manufacture and repair of prosthetic limbs in accordance with prosthetist and manufacturer specifications.
- Ensure all prostheses are ready for fitting and delivery within agreed lead times.
- Maintain accurate stock control and ensure all stock is correctly booked to work orders.
- Reduce material wastage through effective workshop practices.
- Work collaboratively with Prosthetists and management to stay up to date with new prosthetic componentry and manufacturing techniques.
- Identify training requirements and communicate development needs to management.
- Maintain high standards of quality assurance, health and safety, and environmental compliance.
- Support a positive and collaborative working environment across the department.
Requirements:
- Experience within prosthetics, orthotics, manufacturing or a similar technical workshop environment.
- Strong practical and technical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently and manage workload to meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement.
- Positive and professional attitude with the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience working within an NHS or healthcare environment.
