We have an exciting opportunity for an Upper Limb Assembly Technician to join our existing team at Head Office.

Responsibilities:

  • Work to production schedules and manufacture products to specification and drawing tolerances.
  • Ensure all production systems and working practices are strictly adhered to at all times.
  • Use conventional milling and turning machinery to produce Upper Limb prosthetic products.
  • Assisting other departments within the business regarding engineering requirements.
  • Working as part of a team, sharing information with colleagues, to ensure the products are produced in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Adhere to strict health and safety rules and environmental policies.
  • Using 5's principles maintaining good housekeeping methods.
  • Partake in team meetings when required to discuss any issues relating to assembly, and/or new products.

What we are looking for:

  • The role involves both machining of sub assembly components and assembly of the final products so a broad skillset is essential.
  • Apprentice trained mechanical based technician.
  • Milling, Turning, Drilling, Grinding etc.
  • Bench fitting.
  • Soldering / Crimping (preferable but not a necessity).
  • Experience of precision assembly work a distinct advantage.
  • Possess a minimum education of at least 3 GCSE's or equivalent (one in Mathematics is essential).
