We have an exciting opportunity for an Upper Limb Assembly Technician to join our existing team at Head Office.
Responsibilities:
- Work to production schedules and manufacture products to specification and drawing tolerances.
- Ensure all production systems and working practices are strictly adhered to at all times.
- Use conventional milling and turning machinery to produce Upper Limb prosthetic products.
- Assisting other departments within the business regarding engineering requirements.
- Working as part of a team, sharing information with colleagues, to ensure the products are produced in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Adhere to strict health and safety rules and environmental policies.
- Using 5's principles maintaining good housekeeping methods.
- Partake in team meetings when required to discuss any issues relating to assembly, and/or new products.
What we are looking for:
- The role involves both machining of sub assembly components and assembly of the final products so a broad skillset is essential.
- Apprentice trained mechanical based technician.
- Milling, Turning, Drilling, Grinding etc.
- Bench fitting.
- Soldering / Crimping (preferable but not a necessity).
- Experience of precision assembly work a distinct advantage.
- Possess a minimum education of at least 3 GCSE's or equivalent (one in Mathematics is essential).
