We have an exciting opportunity for a Made to Measure Shoemaker/ Finisher to join our orthotic manufacturing team in Head Office.
The Role: Our aim is to create positive turning points through innovative prosthetic, orthotic and assistive technology products combined with continuously committed clinical services. Joining Steeper as a Made to Measure Technician means you'll be part of a company which truly makes a difference to the quality of peoples' lives.
Responsibilities: As a shoemaker/finisher you will produce M2M shoes from start to finished product including skiving, re-lasting/ lasting up, finishing and outside cork raises. You will be responsible for making footwear that is bespoke and made to measure for an individual patient. As a technician it is highly important for orders to be actioned effectively and efficiently to satisfy the requirements of our patients and clinicians.
What we are looking for: To do this role you will need to be confident at using hand tools, and excellent attention to detail. You'll also need to be focused and able to demonstrate that you can operate in a high-pressure volume related environment, ensuring that all work undertaken is ready for delivery within the relevant timescales. In addition, you'll need to:
- Work with fellow technicians to improve processes and overall production effectiveness
- Maintain KPI's (key performance indicators)
- Train and develop others in the team
- Undertake training as deemed necessary
- Ensure that all NCRs are processed without a backlog
- Troubleshoot issues as and when required
The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role and have previous experience with a similar role.
