We are looking for an organised, proactive, & hands‑on Team Leader to support daily operations across our Flooring Fabrication team. Not only will you act as a point of guidance for your team – ensuring priorities are met, targets achieved, & a safe, efficient working environment is upheld – but you will also take a hands‑on, practical approach to leading by example.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, & support a team of fabricators, managing performance, standards, & punctuality.
- Plan workloads, allocate tasks, & monitor progress to ensure daily production targets are met.
- Participate in practical fabrication work to support output, accuracy, & quality.
- Ensure all flooring components are produced to specification, drawings, & quality standards.
- Conduct first‑off checks & in‑process inspections to maintain product conformity.
- Work closely with the Operations & Production Management teams to meet targets & resolve issues.
- Monitor sub‑assembly stock levels & consumables, raising order requirements when necessary.
- Record daily outputs, production data, & relevant KPIs using company systems.
- Support the induction, training, & ongoing development of team members to maintain skill levels & consistency.
- Maintain safe working practices, drive a strong safety culture, & proactively identify improvement opportunities.
- Keep equipment & work areas clean, organised, & properly maintained.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities across manufacturing operations.
- Undertake additional reasonable tasks in line with business needs.
Additional Team Leader Responsibilities
- Undertake & complete an NVQ Level 4 in Supervision (unless already held)
- Fire Marshall
- First Aider
- Health & Safety Representative
- Deputise as required
- Cover for other Team Leaders as required & ensure effective communication
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience within flooring fabrication, steel fabrication, or a similar manufacturing environment
- Previous leadership or senior operative experience (preferred but not essential)
- Confident in being able to lead, motivate, & coach a team
- Ability to read technical drawings, work accurately to measurements & maintain high standards of quality at all times
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise & coordinate workflow
- Confident communicator able to work effectively with colleagues across departments
- Good understanding of production targets, output planning, & performance management
- Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace & following established procedures

Hours of Work
Monday – Thursday, 06:00 – 14:00 & Friday, 06:00 – 13:00 (39 hours per week, site based)
