SteelEye is a fast moving RegTech (Regulatory Technology) start-up that is helping financial companies (e.g. banks, investment firms, brokers, hedge funds and asset managers) meet their obligations under various global financial regulations.
We are looking for an ambitious analyst to join SteelEye and be an integral part of our Integration team. The Integration team at SteelEye is responsible for collecting high volumes of complex data from a wide range of sources, and processing, validating, and loading it into our Data Analytics platform. This assists our financial clients with record keeping, trade reconstruction and trade & order analytics.
We're a close-knit, fun and dynamic team. We champion autonomy and you will be expected to manage your own operational workflow and goals within the context of the overall team’s workflow and goals. This opportunity will best suit someone who is in the early stage of their career, curious about data; be analytical and willing to manage and organise the activities of rapidly evolving business processes within the Integration team at SteelEye.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with external stakeholders (Banks, Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, Broker-Dealers, Exchanges) who we map data from their applications to SteelEye's platform.
- Work closely with our Solutions team, Customer Success team and other internal teams to prioritise the activities of your operational workflow to ensure the right data is mapped to the right fields and that it meets all quality criteria.
- Collect and investigate data files provided by our clients and validate the data.
- Engage with external stakeholders to resolve client data queries.
- Work with the wider integration team to establish and refine day-to-day operational processes and procedures to ensure the team's data coverage and quality metrics are met or exceeded at all times.
- Carry out industry‑specific research to better understand the potential subject matter and to strengthen your knowledge.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of work experience or a recent graduate from a STEM background.
- Knowledge of at least one of the following: SQL, R, VBA and/or Python.
- Knowledge of tools like QlikView will be a huge benefit.
- Problem-solver, able to work both as part of a dynamic team and independently.
- Motivated by the opportunity to play a key role in the growth and development of one of SteelEye's key operations.
- A self-starter with high levels of curiosity.
- Basic knowledge of the Financial Services industry (Nice to have).
