We are looking for a Project Manager to support the onboarding of our growing portfolio of clients. Based in London, you’ll work closely with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure onboarding projects are well-organised, clearly communicated, and delivered on time and within scope. This is a great opportunity for a project manager with client-facing experience to grow within a supportive and high-performing team.
Primary Responsibilities- Plan and execute projects to ensure the successful onboarding of new clients, delivering key outcomes and achieving signoffs at critical project milestones.
- Ensure projects are executed with the appropriate level of governance, planning, and communication, improving stakeholder engagement and satisfaction, adhering to standards set by the PMO.
- Coordinate day-to-day activities of the project team, ensuring alignment with project goals and milestones.
- Work with the PMO and internal stakeholders to allocate resources effectively, ensuring the right capabilities are available at the right time.
- Communicate project status clearly through written reports and verbal updates to stakeholders.
- Define and communicate deliverables, roles, and responsibilities across internal teams.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Help manage and track risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies (RAID), escalating appropriately when needed.
- Monitor project performance in terms of time, cost, and quality targets.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in project management in a client-facing capacity.
- Strong understanding of Project Management processes, strategies, and methodologies, with the ability to apply them effectively in practice. Familiarity with Agile methodologies is beneficial.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, advocating for the client needs during planning and internal prioritisation discussions to ensure long-term value delivered to SteelEye’s clients.
- Hands-on experience with project management tools, specifically Jira and Monday.com, with the ability to manage project plans, track progress, and provide status updates.
- The ability to identify and propose improvements to project delivery practices, as well as act as a mentor to more junior team members.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with experience in setting up clear guidelines and expectations for others.
- Proven ability to foster collaboration in high-performing, geographically dispersed teams and maintain a positive teamwork mentality.
- Ability to predict and proactively address challenges, ensuring smooth project delivery.
- Facilitate clear, persuasive communication across client and internal stakeholders, including navigating challenging conversations with diplomacy and tact.
- Experience in financial services is strongly preferred and will be an advantage in understanding regulatory requirements and client needs.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Project Management certifications such as Prince 2, PMP, or equivalent are beneficial.
