Steele Charles ltd are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Senior Promoter to lead the growth and delivery of a diverse portfolio of live events across the UK, excluding London. This is a Mid-senior leadership role responsible for developing, managing and expanding a programme of approximately 100 annual events, including 20–30 larger-scale music, comedy and entertainment shows. The successful candidate will combine strong industry relationships, commercial acumen and operational expertise to drive ticket sales, maximise event profitability and identify new opportunities for growth.

Working closely with artists, agents, venues, marketing teams and event partners, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering a high-performing regional events strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee a portfolio of approximately 100 live events annually across the UK regions (Outside of London)
  • Lead the planning, development and delivery of major music, comedy and entertainment events.
  • Identify and secure new event opportunities that align with business objectives.
  • Build a balanced programme of events that delivers both commercial success and audience growth.
  • Liaise with key event stakeholders to support and develop event budgets, forecasts and financial models.
  • Negotiate artist fees, venue agreements and supplier contracts.
  • Monitor event performance and implement strategies to maximise profitability.
  • Manage financial risk and ensure strong commercial outcomes across the portfolio.
Industry Relationships
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with artists, agents, managers, venues, promoters and industry stakeholders.
  • Act as a senior representative of the business within the live entertainment industry.
  • Source and secure talent and event opportunities through established industry networks.
Marketing & Ticket Sales
  • Work closely with marketing teams to create effective campaign strategies.
  • Analyse ticket sales performance and implement initiatives to drive revenue growth.
  • Utilise audience data, market trends and customer insights to optimise event performance.
Event Delivery
  • Oversee event execution from concept through to completion.
  • Ensure high standards of operational delivery, customer experience and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure events are delivered safely, efficiently and profitably.
Strategic Development
  • Contribute to the long-term growth strategy of the regional live events portfolio.
  • Identify emerging market trends and audience opportunities.
  • Support business development initiatives and expansion into new markets and venues.
Skills & Experience
  • Significant experience in live event promotion within music, comedy or entertainment.
  • Proven track record of delivering commercially successful live events.
  • Strong network of contacts across artists, agents, managers and venues.
  • Experience managing large-scale event portfolios and multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent commercial negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Strong financial and budget management capability.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK.
  • Experience promoting arena, theatre, festival or large-scale touring events.
  • Knowledge of ticketing platforms, audience development and event marketing strategies.
