Steele Charles are delighted to be representing a new client on a Process & Development Technologist to join their Technical and NPD team in Headcorn.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their career within food and beverage product development, working in a hands-on manufacturing environment and helping take new products from initial development through factory trials and into successful production.
The role will involve:
- Supporting new product development from concept through to launch
- Coordinating and carrying out factory and product trials
- Supporting recipe, formulation and process development
- Assessing the feasibility of new products within the manufacturing environment
- Preparing and maintaining relevant process and technical documentation
- Supporting shelf-life, nutritional and product quality assessments
- Working closely with NPD, Technical, Production and other internal teams
- Supporting the successful scale-up and launch of new products
- Liaising with suppliers and customers where required
- Identifying opportunities to improve products and manufacturing processes
We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have studied Food Science, Food Technology, Product Development or a related subject.
Previous food or beverage manufacturing experience would be advantageous, including experience gained through a university placement, although strong graduates will also be considered.
You should be organised, commercially aware and comfortable working both in a development environment and directly within the factory.
This would suit someone looking for genuine hands-on exposure to NPD, process development and product launches within an established UK beverage manufacturer.
