Steele Charles are delighted to be representing this Connections Analyst vacancy within the energy distribution industry. Main Responsibilities:

  • Support in initial engagement with a generator and support the application process to connect to the network.
  • Support ongoing engagement with the generation customers and update internal records where appropriate, as well as coordinating internal resources through engagement with other disciplines for meeting support.
  • Produce initial draft of connection contract and assist through review and approval process to final position and then issue to the generator within an agreed timescale.
  • Maintain relevant governance for communications with relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the Connections Manager to drive improvement, support reporting, and promote the business objectives to the wider team.
  • Support the review of generator Gate 2 evidence submission and reporting to NESO.
  • Accurately report progress each month for all customer connections, including key activities linked to applications and contracts.
  • Take a positive involvement in developing relationships with other DNOs, TOs, NESO, and Ofgem regarding customer connections.
  • Forge a positive working relationship with internal stakeholders, fostering collaboration across disciplines.

  • Knowledge & Skills: An understanding of the generator connections process in the UK. Excellent communication and engagement skills when reporting or dealing individually with stakeholders. A high standard of written and oral English. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Organised individual who can multi-task and manage multiple customers in any period.
  • Experience & Qualifications: An understanding of and experience in working in the renewable energy/network operator industry. An understanding of and experience in working within network operator compliance would be an advantage.
