With over 20 years’ experience in the steel erection industry we are the leading supplier of steel erection, onsite fabrication, welding and crane and plant hire services working across the whole of the UK. Based just outside Preston, Lancashire we employ a large team of highly trained and skilled operatives to work on our varied portfolio of projects, giving complete confidence and peace of mind for our clients.

We are looking for an experienced Transport Manager to join our busy haulage company.

\\n

You will be responsible for managing a fleet of 20+ vehicles, ensuring smooth and efficient operations across the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage driver infringements and liaise with drivers regarding their infringements
  • \\n
  • Ensure compliance with all UK & EU transport regulations (including driver’s hours)
  • \\n
  • Help to maintain vehicle compliance, servicing schedules, and documentation
  • \\n
  • Liaise with customers and provide excellent service
  • \\n

Requirements:

    \\n
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Transport Manager conducting European traffic
  • \\n
  • Can provide Transport Manager CPC qualification covering European and UK work
  • \\n
  • Experience managing refrigerated articulated vehicles
  • \\n
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • \\n
  • Ability to work in a small-company environment with hands-on involvement
