An opportunity has arisen to work as a Packing & Despatch Operator within SSC. The main role purpose is to count, pack, wrap and despatch all orders with the appropriate paperwork. The role would suit someone with previous experience of general warehousing duties, with a keen eye for detail.

The team you’ll be working in
Working within the production team, you will be an integral part of delivering a great service to internal colleagues and our customers.
What you’ll be doing
- Verifying quantity and quality of goods ready for despatch.
- Palletising / wrapping / bagging laser cut & press brake parts.
- Preparing goods for despatch with the correct labelling & paperwork.
- Following Company processes for despatch of goods and updating internal MRP.
- Loading and unloading same day and overnight carriers using FLT.
- Assisting the laser operatives if required to prepare parts for despatch area.
- Keeping the work environment clean and tidy at all times.
- General warehouse duties.
What you’ll need to succeed
Need to know
- Working knowledge of safe practice in a busy factory environment.
- FLT license is preferred but not essential as training can be given.
- Experience of handling heavy loads of material up to 3M in length desirable.
- Previous experience of general warehousing duties.
- Experience of operating hand pump truck desirable.

Hours of work are 38 hours per week- 08:00 – 17:00 Mon – Thurs, 08:00 -15:00 Friday.
