The role forms part of an Innovation Boost project supported by InterTradeIreland. However, the employment contract is with Steel Lintels and is not limited to the funding period. Steel Lintels Ireland Ltd. is a leading supplier of steel lintels, serving builders, contractors, and merchants across Ireland and the UK. Known for our technical expertise and customer-focused service, we provide high-quality, reliable solutions to the construction industry.

This is a key strategic role focused on leading the company’s expansion from a specialist lintel provider into a full-service structural steel provider. The Structural Design Engineer / Manager will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and launch of a new range of structural steel products. Working across engineering, sales, and operations teams, the successful candidate will manage all aspects of product development, from initial planning and technical specification through to 3D design, structural analysis, fabrication, quality assurance, and market rollout.

The Structural Design Engineer / Manager will play a central role in driving innovation, improving operational processes, and supporting the company’s ambition to become a full-service structural steel partner to the construction industry in Ireland and the UK. Relocation, accommodation and commuting arrangements are the responsibility of the successful candidate. The successful graduate will lead this project, in a supportive partnership with University of Limerick as part of the InterTradeIreland Innovation Boost Programme.

Applicants must have the legal right to work in NI/UK for the full duration of the 18 month contract. If your right to work is time limited, you must provide evidence of your current immigration permission and its expiry date at the time of application. Failure to provide a relevant Visa/Work permit could result in your application not being considered.
