We are currently seeking a dependable and hard-working Yard Person to join our team in Forkhill.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and operational efficiency.

As a Yard Person, you will support the smooth running of the yard and workshop by assisting with goods handling, inventory control, and general site organisation.

Key

Responsibilities: Load and unload materials from lorries, ensuring accurate handling and proper storage.

Assist with shipping and receiving, verifying quantities and inspecting goods on arrival and dispatch.

Handle materials efficiently while adhering to all health and safety protocols.

Use basic maths skills for inventory checks and routine stocktaking.

Perform heavy lifting using correct manual handling techniques.

Operate warehouse management systems to track and manage stock locations.

Ensure accurate picking and preparation of customer orders for delivery.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised yard area, ensuring all materials and tools are stored appropriately.

Promptly report any accidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions to management in accordance with company procedures.

Carry out any additional duties as reasonably assigned by management.

Comply with all company policies and procedures, particularly in relation to health & safety and HR.

Experience & Skills: Previous experience in a yard or warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.

Forklift experience and familiarity with safe loading/unloading practices are advantageous.

A background in materials handling is desirable.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Proactive and dependable, with a strong commitment to workplace safety.

Previous experience with CNC operations is desirable but not essential.
