About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Laser Operator / Programmer to run and programme our laser cutting machines as part of a busy fabrication shop. This role is about precision, organisation, and consistency. You’ll be responsible for producing accurate parts, keeping jobs flowing, and making sure material is cut, labelled, and handled properly for the next stage of production. If you care about clean nests, organised output, and machines that are looked after properly, this role will suit you.
What you’ll be doing
- Operating CO2 and fibre laser cutting machines
- Programming and nesting using Amada VPSS and Radan
- Cutting sheet material accurately and consistently
- Organising cut parts clearly for downstream processes
- Carrying out basic machine checks and maintenance
- Working safely and keeping accurate records
You’ll be trusted to manage your work without being micromanaged.
What we’re looking for
You’ll suit this role if you:
- Have 2+ years’ experience operating laser machines
- Are confident with Amada and/or Radan software
- Understand material handling and part organisation
- Care about accuracy, repeatability, and safe working
- Work well independently and as part of a wider team
- Are reliable, organised, and steady in your approach

- Forklift licence
- Strong material organisation skills
- Experience improving nesting efficiency
Hours & setup
Mon–Thu: 7:30am – 4:00pm
Fri: 7:30am – 1:30pm
Overtime available
