About the Role

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Administrator to support the implementation and maintenance of our Quality Management System (QMS). This is a pivotal role within the business, ensuring our processes, procedures, and products meet internal standards, customer expectations, and relevant regulatory requirements.

You will play a key part in managing Returns (RMA) and Defect (DMR) processes, from initial customer or supplier contact through to final resolution, while working closely with cross-functional teams to promote continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

ERP & Data Management

  • Manage the returns process across our Redditch and Ashchurch facilities
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of returned or rejected items
  • Use ERP systems to collate, measure, and report performance (Epicor experience desirable)
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless data integration

Returns, Reworks & Logistics

  • Coordinate inspections of returned products
  • Work with quality control and production teams to manage rework activities
  • Ensure products meet ISO 9001 standards before re-entering inventory
  • Arrange and track logistics for returned and rejected items

Calibration

  • Track and manage calibration equipment and schedules
  • Maintain accurate calibration records and certificates
  • Coordinate with external calibration providers
  • Investigate discrepancies and support corrective actions

Regulatory & Customer Support

  • Support compliance with quality, safety, and operational regulations
  • Act as the primary contact for customer returns and enquiries
  • Complete customer and business questionnaires to support satisfaction and confidence

Continuous Improvement

  • Support internal and external audits (ISO, customer, regulatory)
  • Identify and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Experience working with ERP systems (Epicor advantageous)
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 or similar quality standards
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • High level of accuracy in data entry and documentation
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and QMS/document control systems
  • Flexibility to support quality initiatives and deadlines

Desirable

  • Experience in a quality, compliance, or administrative role
  • Background in a regulated or electronics environment
  • Knowledge of additional quality standards (ISO 13485, AS9100, IATF, etc.)
  • Experience supporting audits
