We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join Steatite and take end-to-end ownership of complex projects across our growing Defence and engineering business. Our technology operates in some of the world’s most demanding environments – and we need a Project Manager who can bring together engineering, customers, suppliers and internal teams to make sure we deliver.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading complex technical projects through the full project lifecycle
- Owning scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk and change
- Managing project plans, milestones, dependencies and delivery roadmaps
- Leading multi-disciplinary teams across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Commercial and Finance
- Building strong relationships with customers and senior stakeholders
- Managing third-party suppliers and subcontractors
- Maintaining strong project governance, reporting and controls
- Managing budgets, forecasts and commercial milestones
- Supporting bids and commercial reviews
- Driving lessons learned and continuous improvement across project delivery
What are we looking for?
You will already have a strong track record of independently delivering complex projects within Defence, Aerospace, engineering, manufacturing or another technical environment. We’re particularly interested in people who bring:
- Full project lifecycle experience
- Strong project governance and controls
- Commercial and supplier-management experience
- Excellent customer and stakeholder-management skills
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
- Microsoft Project or equivalent planning tools
- PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM or equivalent practical PM experience
Experience within UK Defence, technical manufacturing, Earned Value Management or bid support would be particularly valuable. Due to the nature of the projects and customers we support, this role is subject to successful BPSS clearance and requires eligibility to obtain and maintain UK Security Check (SC) clearance. If you enjoy bringing structure to complexity, solving problems and taking real accountability for delivery, we’d love to hear from you.
