We are seeking a Configuration and IPS Manager to join our team and take ownership of configuration management, IPS governance, and AR&M across a complex contract.
This role is critical to maintaining compliance, traceability, and operational readiness, providing authoritative configuration oversight and assurance for systems, assets, and services throughout their lifecycle.

- Lead IPS and AR&M activities, ensuring alignment with service, support, and sustainment models.
- Support audits, assurance reviews, and governance forums with authoritative configuration and IPS evidence.
- Serve as the primary configuration and IPS point of contact for internal teams, customers, and subcontractors.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and continuous enhancement of configuration governance and tooling.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in Configuration Management within complex technical, defence, or secure environments.
- Skilled at managing CMDBs, configuration audits, and lifecycle data.
- Knowledgeable in IPS and AR&M principles and their application in contractual frameworks.
- Comfortable managing multiple datasets, governance processes, and stakeholder expectations.
- Collaborative, confident, and able to engage with teams across engineering, project management, and assurance.
- Motivated by maintaining accuracy, integrity, and traceability across technical programmes.
- Proven experience in configuration management, governance, and assurance.
- Hands-on experience with CMDB ownership, audits, and lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of IPS/AR&M principles in operational and contractual contexts.
- Experience in audits, compliance reporting, and assurance activities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience in UK defence, critical infrastructure, or regulated industries.
- Familiarity with ITIL, ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 19770, ISO 27001, or systems engineering standards.
- Experience working on long-term support or availability-based contracts.
- Knowledge of configuration tooling and service management platforms.
