Hours of Work: 08:30am – 5pm Monday – Thursday & 08:30am – 2pm Fridays
In this pivotal role, the Multiskilled Machinist will be responsible for machining a diverse range of precision components using manual mills and lathes, primarily focusing on aluminium and thermoplastics. You will also take on the exciting challenge of assembling antenna components and bench fitting, ensuring that all specifications are meticulously met. Your attention to detail is crucial as you interpret engineering drawings and utilise measurement tools to maintain the utmost accuracy of machined parts.
What we are looking for:
- Experience/knowledge & skill of Manual mills and lathe
- Familiarity with band saws, linishers, grinders and other manual workshop equipment
- Skill in using various measurement tools to ensure precision of machined components
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
- Exemplary attention to detail and working to a high standard
Qualifications:
- Relevant technical qualification or equivalent experience in precision machining and assembly.
Useful Additional Expertise:
- Ability to programme a CNC
- Brazing/soldering ability
