We are looking for a Communications Service Manager to lead the delivery of mission-critical communications support services. In this role, you will ensure resilient, compliant, and cost-effective service delivery across technical support, maintenance, spares, and accreditation, acting as the primary interface between our customer, internal teams, and key partners.

The Role – What you will be doing
- Leading end-to-end delivery of communications support services, ensuring SLAs, KPIs, and contractual commitments are met.
- Acting as the primary operational interface with customers and stakeholders.
- Managing technical support, maintenance, spares, and obsolescence planning.
- Driving continuous service improvement, using data, feedback, and trend analysis.
- Supporting service mobilisation, ITT/bid responses, and forward planning.
- Ensuring compliance and accreditation across all technical and operational areas.
The Person – Who we are looking for
You are an experienced service delivery professional with a strong operational mindset, ideally with military or defence communications experience. You thrive in high-stakes, mission-critical environments, and enjoy leading teams to deliver results under challenging conditions. You bring:
- Proven experience managing complex service delivery in technical, communications, defence, or secure systems environments.
- Strong knowledge of SLAs, KPIs, SoR-driven requirements, and ITIL or equivalent service management practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A structured, analytical approach to compliance, operational risk, and continuous improvement.
What Would Set You Apart
- Experience with secure or mission-critical communications systems.
- Familiarity with accreditation frameworks, JSPs, and Defence standards.
- Hands-on knowledge of CMDB, asset management, and configuration control.
- Experience in supporting ITT/bid responses and service mobilisation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- ITIL Foundation or equivalent service management qualification.
- Engineering, technical, or service-related qualification desirable.
- Eligible for UK security clearance (SC minimum, potentially DV) and hold UK nationality.
