We’re a startup company building the future of agentic commerce. As part of the early team, you’ll help establish the infrastructure and operational foundation for a product that has the potential to transform how millions of eCommerce companies sell, creating truly immersive shopping experiences for customers. You’ll have a unique opportunity to shape the product, company culture, and our long‑term success.
Position Overview: As part of the team, you’ll play a crucial role in designing and building the scalable, real‑time architecture that powers our AI agents. You’ll work across the stack—back‑end services, APIs, and front‑end features—to deliver seamless mobile and web experiences. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll operate directly with the founding team, iterating quickly and shipping production code that sets the tone for everything that follows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build the core back-end services and APIs (Typescript + Python) that power our AI agents.
- Scale real-time infrastructure (LiveKit, GCP, Redis, Couchbase) to support production traffic and low‑latency AI.
- Build integrations with external tools and data via MCP.
- Contribute across the stack—from back-end to front-end (vanilla JS/React/Next.js) and mobile integration—wherever needed.
- Optimize performance, cost, and reliability of LLM flows (prompt chains, RAG pipelines, guardrails).
- Own CI/CD pipelines (Docker, GitHub Actions) and help set our infrastructure playbook.
Who You Are:
- A builder at heart—comfortable owning ideas from sketch to production.
- Thrives in tiny, high-trust teams where autonomy is the default.
- Energized by working at the intersection of AI, product, and infrastructure.
- Equally willing to prototype quickly or sweat the details where it matters.
- Operates at startup speed: you bias toward action, learn fast, and value momentum.
- Motivated by impact—you want your work to shape the DNA of the company, not just features on a roadmap.
Why Join Us:
- You’ll be an early member of the engineering team, working side‑by‑side with like‑minded teammates who are passionate about building forward‑looking products.
- Your work will shape every layer of the product and infrastructure.
- High autonomy, broad scope: you’ll touch everything from low‑latency pipelines to product strategy.
- Competitive salary with meaningful equity.
- Remote‑first, with ~4 hours overlap to US Pacific.
- We’re staying lean—4–5 new engineers max over the next year—so every hire is pivotal.
- This is a ground‑floor role: small team, outsized impact, and meaningful equity upside.
