About the Role
We are hiring on behalf of our client for a highly motivated Data Science Intern to join a dynamic, solutions-driven data science team. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about applying data science to real-world business problems and can work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment aligned with UK time zones.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and implementing data-driven solutions to solve business problems
- Work with structured and unstructured datasets to perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and analysis
- Build and evaluate machine learning models under guidance from senior data scientists
- Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and present actionable insights
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and business stakeholders
- Contribute to data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting tools
- Document workflows, methodologies, and findings clearly
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
- Strong foundation in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn)
- Understanding of machine learning concepts (regression, classification, clustering)
- Experience with data visualization tools (Matplotlib, Seaborn, or similar)
- Familiarity with SQL and working with databases
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work remotely in UK time zones
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
