Duration: 3 months (with possibility of extension)

A well-funded technology company is looking for a senior hardware engineer to contribute to an active development programme on a complex, regulated electronic product. The contract has a well-defined scope spanning hands-on engineering, technical documentation, and workstream continuity support.

What you'll work on:

  • Board bring up, verification, and functional testing of a precision optical sensing PCBA; implement design changes and support DFM activities
  • Finalise electronics designs and produce documentation packages for transfer to contract manufacture
  • Provide technical direction across prototype build phases; prepare V&V plans and support test execution
  • Author FPGA architecture specifications, subsystem requirements documents, test system definitions, and single fault analyses
  • Maintain EDA tool templates and libraries

Required experience:

  • Proven hands-on hardware engineering background on complex, regulated electronic products
  • FPGA development experience, ideally Xilinx/AMD, with Altium Designer for PCB work
  • Exposure to optical or optoelectronic systems
  • Comfortable producing formal engineering documentation including specifications and safety analyses
