Solution Architect
Location: Mostly remote, 2x a month in Telford
Day Rate: £580/day, Inside IR35
Clearance: SC cleared
Duration: 6 months

A major public sector digital transformation programme is looking for a Solution Architect to design application products that meet user needs and align with organisational strategy and standards.
You'll act as a solution communication champion - making the complex simple - while supporting delivery teams by blending technical architecture skills with strong leadership and communication.
Responsibilities:
- Design and represent architecture solutions, delivering the technical and architecture elements of projects
- Build relationships and work collaboratively with other digital professionals
- Create solution options and recommendations during discovery and inception
- Make technology choice proposals for products
- Produce high-level solution architecture documentation and design artefacts for governance
- Ensure design compliance with the organisation's approved architecture blueprint and roadmaps
- Engage with Domain and Lead Architects to implement approved designs
- Advocate for solutions that reduce architecture complexity and technical debt
- Maintain and contribute to product roadmaps and the architecture blueprint
- Identify, capture and iterate architecture patterns
- Contribute to and build capability in the Architecture community of practice
Skills:
- Significant architecture experience
- Government/public sector client experience
- AWS/Azure solution experience and relevant certification (good to have)
Note: This role requires additional vetting due to the clearance level, which may extend the standard onboarding timeline.
