Job Title: Lead Azure DevOps Engineer
Rate: £575 (Inside IR35)
Duration: 6 months
Location: Remote- 1-2 days onsite in Manchester per month
Clearance: Active SC
Stages: 1 Stage
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation and support of Azure cloud infrastructure and DevOps platforms.
- Provide technical leadership to DevOps, Cloud and Platform Engineering teams.
- Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
- Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Bicep/ARM.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, application deployment and operational processes.
- Implement Azure security, identity, networking and governance best practices.
- Work with architects and engineering teams to develop scalable and resilient cloud solutions.
- Lead containerisation and Kubernetes deployments using AKS and Docker.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting and observability across Azure environments.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, deployment and production issues.
- Drive DevSecOps practices, integrating security and quality controls into CI/CD pipelines.
- Establish engineering standards, reusable patterns and automation frameworks.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance across the DevOps function.
- Support cloud migration, modernisation and platform transformation initiatives.
- Participate in technical design reviews, architecture discussions and service improvement activities.
