About the Role

A global leader in digital transformation is expanding its Digital Trust & Security (DT&S) practice and is seeking Managing Consultants to join its growing cybersecurity team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape strategy, deliver transformative projects, and work with senior stakeholders across multiple industries.

The practice supports clients in areas such as:

  • Security strategy and risk management
  • Data and identity security
  • Human risk and security culture
  • Generative AI risk governance
  • Security operations modernisation

As a Managing Consultant, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading complex engagements, mentoring junior colleagues, and influencing senior executives to deliver secure, sustainable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead client projects to transform cybersecurity and architecture capabilities.
  • Provide strategic guidance on the organisational, technical, and human dimensions of cybersecurity.
  • Oversee security assurance, implementing frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and Cyber Essentials.
  • Design or improve security architectures aligned with industry standards (e.g., CIS, NIST, ISO, COBIT).
  • Advise on secure adoption of Generative AI, balancing innovation and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct security maturity assessments and threat modelling to guide risk management strategies.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives.
  • Support business development activities, including bids, proposals, and client pitches.
  • Contribute to internal initiatives such as practice development, thought leadership, and team-building activities.

What You’ll Need

  • Strong experience in cybersecurity consulting or leadership roles.
  • Currently working in an established Consulting firm, and/or in industry but having a Consulting background.
  • Proven ability/experience in managing teams and having direct reports.
  • Expertise in one or more areas: security architecture, risk management, SOC operations, OT security, or identity & access management.
  • Familiarity with industry frameworks and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, NIS2, DORA, GDPR).
  • Knowledge or experience in Gen AI security and its implications for businesses.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ (preferred).
  • Experience delivering in a matrixed consulting environment and building client relationships.
  • SC clearance (or eligibility).
