Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust Back End services using Java and Node.js
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, UX, and product owners
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices
- Participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies (eg stand-ups, sprint planning)
- Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and meet accessibility standards
- Debug and resolve technical issues across development and production environments
- Contribute to architectural discussions and technical documentation
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience in Java (8+) and Node.js
- Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams in a government or large enterprise environment
- Proficiency in RESTful API development and integration
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (eg Git)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably AWS or Azure)
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles and practices (TDD, BDD, SOLID)
