About the Role
My client is seeking an experienced Server Engineer to join our team on a hybrid basis in Cheshire. This role involves managing and optimizing server infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security compliance, and seamless integration with network and application environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and manage Hyper‑V environments using standard build processes.
- Implement and maintain Windows Clustering and Network Load Balancers.
- Apply CIS hardening via Group Policy Objects (GPO).
- Manage Active Directory and Certificate Authority services.
- Collaborate with network, security, and application teams for smooth operations.
- Automate server provisioning and configuration using PowerShell, Ansible, or Terraform.
- Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions, including Bare Metal Recovery (BMR).
