Job Title: Content Designer
Location: Remote (occasional client site visits)
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum

Join a prominent IT consultancy seeking talented Content Designers with a solid background in Government Digital Services (GDS) to support exciting digital transformation initiatives on a permanent basis.
The Role
As a Content Designer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping clear, user-focused content for a variety of digital services. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to create and refine content that supports end users while meeting accessibility and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing guidance on content strategy across projects
- Develop and iterate user-centred content that is accurate, accessible, and aligned with user needs
- Leverage user research, analytics, and feedback to understand user behaviours and journey pain points
- Translate complex processes and language into clear, concise, and easily digestible content
- Promote and embed user-focused, agile, and iterative ways of working across the team
- Challenge assumptions and advocate for innovation in service design and delivery
About You
You bring a solid foundation in content design, along with experience working in agile, cross-functional teams to deliver impactful digital services.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Strong knowledge of user-centred design and GDS principles
- Proven experience working in Agile environments, contributing to multidisciplinary teams
- Skilled in designing content that’s accessible and inclusive, aligned with WCAG and other regulatory standards
- Experience writing in plain English for diverse audiences, including users with assisted digital needs
- Comfortable managing stakeholders and communicating complex ideas clearly
- Eligible for SC Clearance (UK resident for 5+ years with no more than 28 consecutive days out the country)
- Previous work in regulated sectors such as public health or government
- Certifications in accessibility (e.g. CPACC, WAS, CPWA) or a strong interest in obtaining them
- Hands-on experience with assistive technologies (e.g. JAWS, Dragon, ZoomText)
- Qualifications in Service Design, Design Thinking, or similar disciplines
- Experience in delivering training or workshops related to service or content design
- Leadership experience in managing and mentoring content or design teams
- Proficiency with collaboration tools such as Miro, Mural, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams
