QA Tester

QA Tester Location: Mostly remote (Telford, 2 days per month in the office) Day Rate: £400/day, Inside IR35 Duration: 6 months Clearance: You can start with BPSS only. You'll go through the SC process once you join. SC is preferred but not required. Sector: Public A major public sector data programme needs a QA Tester to join an Agile delivery team. You'll write the Test Approach document, carry out Functional System Testing and Integration Testing, and support end-to-end testing on a data extract project. The work includes analysing customer requirements and technical documentation, identifying test scenarios, writing test scripts, preparing test data and running and recording tests. The role needs an excellent understanding of test techniques and Risk Based Testing, so you can verify outcomes against expected results and record them for audit trails. You'll work closely with the delivery team and key stakeholders to achieve the business objectives. Responsibilities: Check and assess requirements, including the testability of designs Create low-level test plans and test scripts, and set up test data Run and record tests Give regular status reports to the Delivery Manager Identify and raise project and product risks and issues Required skills: Talend as an ETL tool Testing Oracle RDS solutions Test data preparation and creation Functional system test experience Test tools (e.g. test automation, Postman) Agile methodology Data warehouse and marts Data migration Writing Test Approach and Test Completion reports Jira and Confluence Test management tools (e.g. Zephyr) ETL experience TPBN1_UKTJ
