We are seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer to join a mission-critical team responsible for the maintenance and evolution of the UK's national tax infrastructure. This is a role for a technical specialist who enjoys working on high-integrity, high-volume transaction systems that form the backbone of public sector finance. You will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for ensuring that massive data processing systems remain stable, efficient, and secure.
The Technical Stack
- CA Gen (Advantage:Gen / IEF): Extensive experience in design, development, and maintenance.
- Middleware: Proven expertise with Tuxedo.
- Databases: Strong Oracle and PL/SQL skills.
- Operating Systems: Proficient in Unix environments and shell scripting.
Key Responsibilities
- Systems Maintenance: Design and develop enhancements for core tax applications using PL/SQL and CA Gen.
- Batch Optimization: Lead batch-related improvement forums to reduce failures and optimize overnight run times.
