Overview
We are looking for a Service Design & Transition Manager to support end-to-end service design and transition activities across project delivery teams. This role is focused on ensuring new or changed services are operationally ready, fully tested, and successfully transitioned into live service. You will work closely with project, technical, and support teams to identify operational risks, develop support models, and ensure governance and service readiness standards are met before go-live.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop support models, service diagrams, and operational documentation for new services
- Ensure application and technical support teams are ready to support new service components
- Identify service and operational risks, ensuring mitigation plans are in place
- Coordinate Service Design & Transition activities across multiple workstreams
- Drive operational readiness, testing, and sign-off before go-live
- Escalate operational risks and issues where required
- Support governance reviews, technical reviews, and operational approvals
- Facilitate support process testing and approval across teams
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in Service Design & Transition, Service Management, or Operational Readiness
- Strong stakeholder management and meeting facilitation skills
- Comfortable leading workshops, taking detailed notes, and producing weekly reporting
- Ability to assess service risks and recommend practical solutions
- Strong communication, negotiation, and challenge skills
- Self-sufficient and able to work independently
Desirable Skills
- ITIL / ITIL4 Foundation (or willingness to obtain)
- Project delivery or service management experience
- Risk management awareness
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office skills
