We are seeking an experienced HR Project Manager to lead and deliver a large-scale restructuring programme impacting up to 150 employees. The role will take full ownership of planning, governance, delivery, and execution of all HR-related activities, ensuring legal compliance, operational effectiveness, and a strong focus on employee experience throughout. The successful candidate will work at pace, managing complex stakeholder environments while ensuring all consultation, redeployment, and exit processes are handled professionally, legally, and ethically.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme Leadership & Delivery
- Lead end-to-end delivery of a restructuring programme across multiple business areas
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and governance structures
- Identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful delivery
- Provide regular updates to senior stakeholders and steering committees
- Redundancy & Consultation Management
- Design and deliver collective consultation processes in line with employment legislation
- Partner with business leaders, HR, and legal teams to ensure compliance with UK employment law
- Manage individual consultation processes ensuring fairness and consistency
- Oversee selection criteria, scoring frameworks, and supporting documentation
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the key HR contact for senior leaders and impacted employees
- Coach managers through sensitive restructuring and consultation conversations
- Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Communications, and IT stakeholders
- Employee Experience & Communications
- Develop clear and empathetic communication strategies throughout the programme
- Ensure employees are treated with dignity and respect at all stages
- Manage employee FAQs, briefing packs, and communications
- Coordinate support services such as EAP and outplacement
- Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure full compliance with employment law and internal policies
- Maintain accurate and auditable documentation across all processes
- Support preparation of business cases and approval packs

Skills & Experience Required

- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
