Overview
Sales Manager Software Alliance Limited (“SAL”) provides specialist software solutions to the life insurance industry, with a strong focus on financial modelling. As SAL continues through a period of strategic transformation, the business is seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead revenue growth, strengthen client relationships, and support the CEO and Executive team in shaping the company’s future direction. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the leadership team, this role involves managing both new business development and existing client accounts, with exposure across sales strategy, account management, commercial planning, and operational collaboration within a dynamic SME environment.
What you’ll do
- New & Existing Business Development: Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities aligned with SAL’s growth strategy. Manage and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention. Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, maintaining strong long-term partnerships. Understand client needs and position SAL’s software solutions effectively.
- Sales Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to develop and execute the sales strategy. Contribute to revenue forecasting, pipeline management, and sales planning. Monitor sales performance against targets and report on progress, risks, and opportunities. Provide market and competitor insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Commercial & Operational Support: Support pricing structures and commercial proposals in line with company strategy. Manage the sales budget, including expense control and revenue forecasting, in collaboration with the finance & operations team. Prepare and deliver client presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations. Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and delivery for clients.
Who You Are
- Proven experience in a Sales Manager or senior sales role, ideally within Insurance software & SaaS environments.
- Experience managing both new business acquisition and existing client accounts.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence and negotiate at senior levels.
- Highly organised, proactive self-starter with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive, professional, and mature attitude.
- Able to manage competing priorities effectively in a fast-paced SME environment.
