United Kingdom based with European remit. We are the embedded talent partner for one of the most important AI infrastructure companies in the world, making long term investments in AI optimised data centre platforms across Europe. The business operates at hyperscale, supporting high density GPU, AI training, inference and accelerated computing workloads for leading AI labs, enterprises and next generation technology companies.

As part of a significant European expansion, they are hiring a Vice President of Data Centre Operations to lead the operational performance, scale and long term strategy of their European data centre platform. This is a senior regional leadership role with ownership across uptime, reliability, safety, organisational scale and operational readiness in a fast growth, high intensity environment.

The Vice President Data Centre Operations owns end to end data centre operations across Europe. This includes day to day operational performance, organisational scalability, reliability engineering, vendor and partner management, site readiness and workforce leadership across multiple countries. You will operate as the senior operations leader for Europe, partnering closely with global operations, engineering, capacity, security, facilities, network and real estate teams to ensure the platform operates with world class performance, resilience and efficiency. This is a highly visible role with direct influence over how AI infrastructure is built, operated and scaled across the region.

What You Will Do

  • Lead all data centre operations across Europe, ensuring consistent uptime, reliability and service excellence.
  • Build and scale multi country operations organisations, including site leadership and technical teams.
  • Own KPIs across availability, incident response, maintenance, safety, compliance and cost efficiency.
  • Define and execute the multi year European operational strategy, including readiness for new sites and expansions.
  • Partner with capacity planning and real estate teams on site selection, commissioning and handover to operations.
  • Establish scalable operating models, playbooks and governance frameworks across the region.
  • Lead major incident management, root cause analysis and continuous improvement programmes.
  • Act as the European operations voice in global planning cycles and executive forums.

What You Bring

  • Senior leadership experience in data centre operations or critical infrastructure.
  • Proven experience leading multi site or multi country operations at scale.
  • Deep understanding of uptime, reliability engineering, incident management and operational governance.
  • Track record building and leading high performing leadership teams.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience owning budgets and driving cost efficiency.
  • Experience operating in high growth or hyperscale environments.
  • Comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and working cross functionally across engineering, capacity, security and construction.

Preferred backgrounds include hyperscale cloud, AI infrastructure, GPU cloud, advanced colocation or large scale enterprise data centre environments.
