Role Description
We are looking for a Junior QA Tester to join our engineering and product team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications, working closely with developers, product managers, and designers. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone early in their career who is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to build strong foundations in software testing within a fast-paced fintech environment.
What You’ll Do
- Execute manual testing across APIs, mobile applications and web platforms to ensure new features meet requirements.
- Design, write, and maintain test cases and test plans based on product specifications and user stories.
- Identify, log, and track defects clearly using bug tracking tools, working closely with engineers to ensure resolution.
- Perform regression testing before releases to ensure existing functionality remains stable.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and release readiness checks.
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to improve quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Gradually learn and contribute to automated testing frameworks, where appropriate.
What We’re Looking For
- A graduate (or junior professional) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical, analytical approach to problem-solving.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working with digital products, mobile apps, and web platforms.
- Curious mindset with a desire to learn testing tools, frameworks, and best practices.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely within a team.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
- Interest in test automation frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Selenium).
- Prior experience using Postman or similar API testing tools.
- Familiarity with Agile / Scrum development processes.
