Head of DevOps (Salesforce)

We have teamed up with a leading Salesforce consultancy who are seeking a talented individual to head up Salesforce DevOps. This business are a global powerhouse, so there will be huge opportunity to work on some of the biggest and best Salesforce projects.

We’re looking for an experienced Head of Salesforce DevOps to lead our clients DevOps strategy, tools, and processes across the Salesforce ecosystem. You’ll work closely with engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders to streamline release management, enforce quality, and ensure high system availability, security, and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Define and implement the Salesforce DevOps roadmap aligned with business and engineering goals.
• Lead and mentor a team of Salesforce DevOps engineers, setting clear goals and fostering a culture of automation and continuous improvement.
• Own and grow CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Gearset, Copado) Oversee governance, version control, testing frameworks, and change management across multiple Salesforce orgs.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure smooth, frequent, and secure releases. This may mean managing teams of 30-50 people.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement best practices for scalability and resilience. Drive adoption of DevOps principles across the Salesforce delivery lifecycle.

Skills required:

• Proven experience in a senior DevOps or release management role within a Salesforce environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with DevOps tools, ideally Gearset, Copado, SFDX, and Git.
• Deep understanding of the Salesforce platform and its tools.
• Experience with enterprise-scale Salesforce implementations (multi-org, multi-cloud environments).
• Leadership experience with the ability to scale teams, define strategy, and influence senior stakeholders.
