Warehouse/Van Driver

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse/Van Driver to join our team. As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and materials handling.

Based at our Milton Keynes depot, working hours are 7am to 4pm

20 days Holiday + Bank Holidays +Christmas shut down (3 days)

Role:

• getting orders ready for dispatch

• driving our branch drop side van 1500kg

• unloading and putting away products

• working in the warehouse / yard

• keeping the yard and premises clean tidy and well organised

• supporting colleagues, Safely operate a van to transport goods and materials to designated locations

• Load and unload items from the van

• Ensure all items are properly secured for transportation

• Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the supervisor

• Inspect and maintain the van, reporting any mechanical issues or damages

• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations

• Assist with warehouse duties as needed, such as picking, packing, and materials handling

• Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments

• hold a full driving licence

• have a really positive attitude

• be reliable and enthusiastic

• be happy to get involved with whatever needs doing

• enjoy talking to lots of different people

• ideally have sales and customer service experience

• have van driving experience

• have knowledge or experience in roofing products

• requires heavy lifting and materials handling.

A Forklift Truck licence is desirable. Training will be given., * Materials handling experience

• Proficiency in warehouse operations

• Forklift certification

• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks

• Skilled in stocking and picking & packing

• Experience in shipping & receiving processes

• Valid driver’s license for van driving duties
