We are searching for the best education professionals. We currently have a position available within St David's Catholic Sixth Form College for an innovative Teacher of Health and Social Care to be part of the wider Health & Social Care and Sport department in delivering exemplary Health and Social Care lessons and raising class attainment and engagement with regards to teaching, learning and assessment. Job Overview

The Governing Body is looking for a committed, enthusiastic Health and Social Care Teacher to be a key part of our learners' education, by delivering engaging Health and Social Care lessons in line with the wider curriculum requirements. You should have the ability to inspire and understand students' post-16 learning needs, assessing progress in Health and Social Care along the way with an awareness of how to raise and sustain achievement within the subject.

Job Requirements

  • Relevant specialist qualifications and subject experience (e.g. BA Hons degree)
  • Understanding of curriculum requirements for Health and Social Care
  • A relevant teaching or lecturing qualification or a willingness to work towards one.

Job Details

The position is offered as a FULL-TIME or PART-TIME role on a FIXED TERM contract, and it attracts a salary of between £33,595.86 and £51,931.55 pro rata, dependant on experience. Shortlisting for both positions will take place on 23rd June 2026. Interviews for both positions will be held the week beginning 29th June 2026.

Candidates shortlisted for interview will be expected to teach a micro-lesson as part of the selection process.
