As Clinical Governance Co-ordinator, you will support the leadership team in the management and oversight of the hospice’s clinical governance framework.
This will include helping to co-ordinate incident reporting and investigation processes, supporting audits and quality improvement activity, maintaining risk registers, assisting with policy development and preparing governance reports for committees and leadership teams.
You will also support compliance with internal assurance processes and regulatory standards, including CQC requirements, and help ensure that learning from incidents, complaints, feedback and audits is captured and shared effectively.
About you
We are looking for someone with a registered healthcare professional or relevant healthcare professional background, and an appropriate level of experience within a healthcare setting.
You will have an understanding of clinical governance, audit, risk and quality processes, and experience of using a PSIRF approach.
You will be highly organised, confident working with information and able to analyse data and produce clear reports.
Strong communication and IT skills are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across multidisciplinary teams and manage deadlines effectively.
Experience in hospice or palliative care, involvement in CQC inspections, quality improvement training, a degree-level qualification, or experience using Systm One or similar systems would be an advantage.

Key responsibilities include
- Supporting the management and oversight of clinical governance processes across the hospice.
- Co-ordinating incident reporting processes and supporting investigations.
- Assisting with audits, data collection and the reporting of quality metrics.
- Maintaining risk registers and supporting risk assessment processes.
- Supporting policy development, review and implementation.
- Monitoring compliance with CQC standards and internal assurance processes.
- Supporting complaints and feedback processes, ensuring learning is captured.
