The Role:
The Growth FCA Business Partner will collaborate with the Insurer Development, Operations, Marketing, and Digital teams to ensure financial promotions, customer interactions, and regulatory requirements meet standards, ensuring clear, fair, and non-misleading communications, good outcomes, and consideration for vulnerable characteristics.
You will represent R&C in projects and provide compliance oversight accordingly.
What will you do?
- Review and approve marketing and e-marketing (including social media) in accordance with FCA and ASA rules, guidance, and expectations.
- Act as an independent review body to evaluate and resolve compliance issues.
- Represent R&C in project meetings to provide compliance guidance.
- Ensure Consumer Duty is incorporated into every customer journey, interaction, or promotion.
- Adhere to internal financial promotions and product oversight policies.
- Work closely with various teams to provide regulatory compliance guidance.
- Provide compliance management information as needed.
- Plan and organize workload to meet SLA sign-off deadlines.
- Offer ad-hoc compliance advice via queries and inbox.
- Sign off on new or amended customer journeys.
- Review and support the creation of company policies and procedures.
- Provide training to team members as required.
Essentials:
- Experience with ASA, ICOBS, CONC, PRIN, SYSC, and SMCR regulations.
- Understanding of Consumer Duty, especially customer vulnerabilities.
- Effective relationship-building skills at all levels, with influencing and negotiation abilities.
- High attention to detail and organization skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to apply regulatory requirements commercially.
- Ability to communicate complex issues simply and effectively challenge.
- Growth mindset and adaptability to change.
Bonus skills:
- Experience in the insurance industry or similar sectors, especially travel insurance.
- Financial services qualifications or willingness to pursue relevant qualifications.
- Knowledge of products and procedures.
