This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Pricing Analyst to have ownership of our new and existing brands giving the opportunity to make a real difference to our business. You will be highly numerate and analytical, with a good knowledge of predictive modelling, including GLMs and machine-learning techniques. Experience in insurance would be beneficial. You will need to have excellent communication skills with the ability to integrate at all levels. We value proactive attitude, willingness to take responsibility, and a genuine interest in data analytics.
We would be particularly interested in candidates with:
- A degree in a numerate subject (Maths / Data Science etc…)
- Experience of working in a similar role
- Interest & experience with statistical modelling and machine learning techniques.
- Experience working with large datasets.
- Experience of programming languages such as SQL, Python and R.
- Experience working with Earnix or Radar.
- Experience managing and leading important projects.
- Excellent Excel skills.
The pricing team carry out detailed analysis and statistical modelling to help optimise prices of our insurance products.
Tasks will include:
- Carrying out statistical modelling using GLMs and machine learning techniques.
- Optimising, implementing and monitoring pricing for insurance products, using Earnix software.
- Using software such as SQL, Excel, Python and R to produce and manipulate data sets for modelling and analysis.
- Producing, analysing and interpreting management information relating to performance of insurance products.
- Effectively communicating the impact of pricing actions to the wider business.
- Investigating and responding to queries from other areas of the business relating to pricing.
