The Role: We’re looking for a strategic and commercially minded Lead Insurance Proposition Manager to take ownership of our insurance product suite and drive its success across the full product lifecycle. This is a pivotal role where you’ll shape product strategy, enhance customer value, and ensure our offerings remain competitive in a fast-moving market. You’ll collaborate across multiple teams, influence senior stakeholders, and play a key role in delivering innovative, customer-focused insurance solutions.
What will you do?
- Define and evolve the product strategy and roadmap, using performance data, customer insights, and market trends.
- Own and deliver the product vision across partnerships, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Translate strategy into actionable product backlogs, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritise initiatives, refine requirements, and remove delivery bottlenecks.
- Lead product planning sessions to align on priorities and outcomes.
- Drive continuous product improvement, identifying monetisation opportunities and cross-product synergies.
- Gather and analyse market intelligence to inform product development and innovation.
- Produce high-quality business and process documentation.
- Work closely with partners, underwriters, and internal teams to deliver compliant and customer-focused products.
- Support the creation of customer documentation, policy wordings, and digital content.
- Partner with Design and Marketing teams on product collateral.
- Support the rollout and adoption of new digital capabilities.
- Ensure strong governance around conduct risk, fair value, and customer outcomes.
- Act as the go-to expert for product knowledge, competitor insights, and market developments.
- Support product launches and updates, including third-party integrations (e.g. price comparison sites).
- Define and oversee testing, validation, and change management strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement with Development teams.
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing multiple products and cross-functional teams.
- Strong product management and development background.
- Experience in dependency management across teams and priorities.
- Solid project management capability, including risk and issue management.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple workstreams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
