We are a niche consultancy practice working with commercial property clients throughout the UK. Due to continued growth within our Commercial Team, we are looking to add an experienced Capital Allowances Specialist. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience working within a tax organisation, and also have a good understanding of current tax legislation, in particular Capital Allowances.

This is a new business development role. We are seeking an experienced and driven individual with a proven track record in direct business development and relationship building. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills with a desire to not only hit, but exceed targets.

The Current Practice Breaks Down As Follows: We are the Property and Capital Allowance Experts. We excel in extracting maximum Capital Allowance value from various commercial properties. Our client portfolio includes a diverse range of commercial spaces, spanning from compact 1,000-square-foot offices above retail units to towering 30-story skyscrapers, hotel chains, shopping centres, and more. In the last year, STax have won a number of awards recognising our work and expertise in helping our clients claim Capital Allowances.

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Championing Capital Allowance tax incentives – educate potential clients on the value, applicability, and use your knowledge and approach to help businesses evaluate their eligibility by understanding their business needs and requirements.
  • Developing strong relationships with potential prospects to position STax as a premium provider, identifying and evaluating the potential of those we can work with as clients and/or introducers.
  • Creating opportunities through personalised outreach across a variety of channels – including targeted calls, email, LinkedIn and by attending networking events.
  • Proactively developing opportunities, consulting with, and looping in technical colleagues as appropriate.
  • Working with your colleagues to develop prospects from industry associations and other referral sources.
  • Using our CRM system effectively to manage your relationships and prospects pipeline, to allow for accurate forecasting and reporting, and to ensure you meet your KPI’s.
  • Share sales best practice, knowledge and experience with your wider team, helping to build skills and experience for team success.
  • Meeting clients both virtually and face to face as required to create the best impression and help build the client relationships.

This position is a hybrid role, using our offices across London, Brighton, Milton Keynes, and Watford. A minimum of two days per month will be worked from our offices across the UK, as and when required, with the remainder of the time spent working remotely. STax is a national firm, and travel across the UK to meet clients and partners is a key part of the role, so a full, clean driving licence is required.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a fast-paced business development role working within a tax organisation.
  • Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Understanding of Capital Allowances, tax regulations, and tax incentives is desirable.
  • Passion for innovation and for representing a high value service to clients.
  • Enthusiastic about developing own leads and developing key relationships with prospects.
  • Strong networking skills to establish connections with potential clients, industry professionals, and relevant organisations.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable with C-suite individuals and ability to adapt to different audiences/preferences.
  • A self-starter when it comes to getting things done and solving problems.
  • Ability to create compelling presentations and to explain Capital Allowance benefits to potential clients.
  • Effective communication skills to convey complex tax concepts to non-experts.
  • Demonstrable success in delivering against KPI’s and targets.
  • Experience of using CRM systems.
